Big Ben: London, United Kingdom

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, and often extended to refer to the clock and the clock tower.

The tower is officially known as the Elizabeth Tower, renamed as such to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II (prior to being renamed in 2012 it was known as simply "Clock Tower"). The tower holds the second largest four-faced chiming clock in the world.

You can take an underground tube from London Euston to Waterloo to reach Big Ben. You can cover most of the landmarks in a go like London Eye , Buckingham Palace, Green Park, etc

London Eye: London, United Kingdom

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. Also known as the Millennium Wheel, its official name was originally published as the British Airways London Eye, then the Merlin Entertainments London Eye, then the EDF Energy London Eye. Since mid-January 2015, it has been known in branding as the Coca-Cola London Eye, following an agreement signed in September 2014

This was a lifetime experience. Being in the capsule and on that crazy height, entire london looks just awesome. It was for sure a best viewing point that ca be created giving a very spectacular ad panoramic view to thames and entire london.

You can use your coupon from 2for1 booklet to get two adult entries in 21 pounds.

Some pictures i took from inside the capsule and from ground:

St. James's Park: London, United Kingdom

St. James's Park is a 23 hectares park in the City of Westminster, central London. The park lies at the southernmost tip of the St James's area, which was named after a leper hospital dedicated to St. James the Less.

You will see beautiful ducks in the nearby lake  and people feeding them bread crumbs. Being near to Green's Park you can gather a plenty of good pictures here.

Green Park: London, United Kingdom

Green Park is a park in the City of Westminster, central London. One of the Royal Parks of London, it covers 19 hectares (47 acres)between Hyde Park and St. James's Park. Together with Kensington Gardens and the gardens of Buckingham Palace, these parks form an almost unbroken stretch of open land reaching from Whitehall and Victoria station to Kensington and Notting Hill.

I would personally say this is one of the most beautiful park in London. You will find a plenty of crowd here and thus i would say it can be among one of the places where you can get some of the best shots to capture.

Buckingham Palace: London, United Kingdom

Buckingham Palace is the London residence and principal workplace of the monarchy of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing.

From London Euston to Buckingham Palace: Take Victoria Line Underground southbound to Green Park and walk across the park. Or bus 73 from Euston Road to Hyde Park Corner and walk down Constitution Hill.

I went on a weekend and there was lot of crowd. You can take some good pictures in day light.
If you have enough time you can plan to visit the entire Buckingham Palace from inside. It costs around 20 pound as admission fees. You can check out more details here.

Incredible London. How to plan your travel.

Well this is not much a travel post but i would say a prerequisite before and while planning a trip to london. I planned the things pretty much in this way which helped me a lot in my journey and trust me this would surely going to help you in yours:

Packing your travel Bag: I went to London at the start of year and it was pretty cold at that time. No snow by the way. Day before your travel, do check the weather forecast and accordingly plan your trip. Pack your bag with some essentials like below:

  • An umbrella
  • Camera and tripod stand
  • Snacks
Small list but i promise you that would suffice in your journey

Traveling in London: Before making a plan to visit London, keep in mind the best available travel plans. I would personally suggest to buy a day travel card from either a nearest railway station or from the national rail website. This card gives you a day pass to travel in any bus, any overground midland train and any underground tube in entire london which means your burden to take tickets every time is no more now an issue and it's comparatively very cheap and economic. I took a travel card from Milton Keynes to London Euston and it costed me around 13.85 Pounds.

At railway station don't forget to take three things which would be your travel guide and believe me they going to help you at best in London:
  • A tube map of London - You will get it either from information center or from the pamphlet stands.
  • 2FOR1 Offers Booklet - This booklet will give you a brief information on most of the attractions, restaurants, museums, galleries, etc in London and will help you to get great discounts on their entry fees. You will find the booklet in pamphlet stands at station.
  • Some pamphlets - of famous attractions from stands.

Here is a picture of all three of them which i took with me.
